LAOH Division 23 March Newsletter 2009
Next Meeting is March 13, 2009

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
We received a Happy St. Patrick’s Day wishes from our sister Ann Lynch who is living in Shanghai, China.
LAOH was well represented at St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast on Sunday March 8, 2009. Bishop Zubik reminded everyone to take time to appreciate the people we take for granite. The theme from the Hibernian of the Year, Fr. Thomas O’Donnell and this year Grand Marshal Dorothy Weldon was to take time to appreciate our families. They both told stories of their parents love and wonderful memories they have cherished for years. Bridget Byrne received the honor of Miss Smiling Irish Eyes. Bridget is the President, of the Junior LAOH Div. 23. Congratulations to Bridget and her family! Family was also the theme at Irish night later that evening. The Foley family hosted Irish night and the theme is “Row on for Brendan”. They reminded each of us to remember family that are no longer with us because they are always with us.
We will be forming a Volunteer committee to organize volunteer opportunities for our division to participate. We need a chairperson for this committee. If you are interested please contact our president Adrienne Simcic. We ask everyone this month to bring gently used men’s clothing (especially small) to the meeting for Angels in Overalls.
Our Valentines Day dance was a success. Adrienne thanks everyone who helped and attended.
