MARCH 2011 NEWSLETTER

 

AOH Division 23 Monthly Membership Meetings – Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 2:15 p.m.  Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 2:15 p.m. and Friday April 29, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend.

 

2011 Membership Dues – Dues for 2011 will remain at $25. Checks can be mailed to the Club or brought to the Club on Friday or Sunday. Check should be made payable to AOH Division 23 and mailed to the above address.  All

MARCH EVENTS

2011 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Button Party – The Annual Button Party to support the parade will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011, 5 – 8 p.m. at Mitchell’s Bar on 3rd and Ross Streets, Downtown. Cost of a button is $30 and can be purchased at the Club. This is the main fundraiser for the parade, so please support this event by purchasing a button.

March Bar Bingo – Friday, March 4, 2011 at 9 pm – Date changed due to Parade events.

 

AOH/LAOH Division 23 St. Patrick’s Day Memorial Mass – Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Matthews Parish, St. Kieran’s Worship Site, 53rd and Carnegie Streets. Members and their families are asked to attend this beautiful mass that honors our deceased members. A social will follow at the Club.  Desserts and snacks are welcome.

 

Monthly Drawing – Friday, March 11, 2011 at 9:30 pm. Must be signed in by 9 pm.

 

St. Patrick’s Day Parade – The Annual Allegheny County St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.  The staging area for the parade has moved from the Civic Arena to Liberty Avenue, beginning at Liberty and 11th Street and forming down to 25th Street. All Division 23 marchers are asked to wear your Division jackets. Proper dress is required.  No jeans or sneakers. No alcohol until after parade.  Marchers should be in formation by 9:30 a.m.

 

Division 23 After-Parade Celebration – The Club will open from noon to 8 pm after the parade for our annual celebration. Members and their families and friends are invited to celebrate with us.  There will be a $3 adult cover charge.

 

 

Good and Welfare

 

Week Drawing 3:30 p.m. Every Sunday. Must be signed in by 3 pm.

 

Get Well Wishes – The Club asks that you keep members Dan Dickson, Father Joe, Kevin Donohue, Dick Craig, Jack Hart, Botts Purnell, Dan McCarthy, Tom Jennings and Bob Hanlon in your daily prayers.
